My fourth reflection

My event is  how I can deal with an active child.   I selected it because I saw the teacher of KG 2-4  put a large plate containing cards with the names of all the students then when the students came to their class they chose their names and put them on the list of attendees and that helped  the teacher to know who was absent. This drew my attention, but I saw that  child Salem did not follows this rule and when teacher told him to put his name he said ok but in fact he did not do it.
Describe
 During my observation of this child, I noticed he is busy and active boy. When I taught them a lesson about movement and drama. I thought about him, I wants something to make him busy so I used this strategy with him which is trying to keep him busy, but in something I want him to do it like I choose Salem to be the leader and explain to him he should to be controlled in his behavior and assist me or I will choose somebody else.
Analyze:
I really notice he like this and he became obey. Also, during my lesson I asked him to help me to show students cards and when I told him " good boy" he smiled. His preferred activities are moving and drawing. I used that as much as possible to keep him engaged.
Appraise:
After that , in the break I sat with other students to talk and he just walked around us but I try to raise my voice to hear me  ( I was talking about the football) so he came  to sit with us and share his opinion with us and we do this every day in the break. Finally, I felt he feels comfortable to talk with me because he was starting to talk with me and told me about his family or something he felt interesting about it.
Transform
In the future, I should be more wiser and patient when I deal with the students and use encouraging means to stimulate students' creativity, such as the work of a certificate of appreciation to them and give them gifts. I am sure this strategies will work with other children like Salem. But also,  I will still use punish way with how don't follow the rules in my class

English lesson

My event is time management I selected it because I had taught English lesson for KG 2 and I faced some problems with manage my time.
Describe
I taught Kg2-4 English lesson, and it was about Retell  a story – beginning, middle, ending.  When I introduced my lesson, I spent more time on the carpet area rather than learning centers. I taught the children three things during the carpet area time reviewing the ABC song and I focus on letter J because it was the letter of the week. Read the story about goldilocks and three bears. Too much circle time and I lost the kid's attention.

Analyze:
I think some of the children didn't understand the story because I spoke quickly and I asked hard questions to them. I had a long time of talking and they got less time of speaking. To have a good lesson it is needed to be the child involvement. I saw  the children enjoying when I involve them with the drama that was related to the story

Appraise:
I want to build my time management skill when I'm introducing my lesson. I think if I used an alarm that will help me to know how much a period of time that must be in the carpet area and learning centers.
Transform
Next lesson, I think I should have an alarm and use it to remind me about the time.

Math lesson

My event is How can I manage or control the class. I selected it because I had taught math lesson for KG 2 and I faced some problems with managing the class when I can’t manage the class I feel nervous I don’t know what to do.


Describe
 I taught Kg2-4 Math lesson, and it was about add one more in the member.  When I introduced my lesson in the carpet area, I used a  game and I  tried to engage all children with the game but I saw some of children talk and play with other children.
Analyze:
 I think some of children  didn't understand  the game  because I spoke quickly and I didn't know how to control them.


Appraise:
I want to manage my students when I'm introducing my lesson. I think if I  use effective strategies  I  will get children's attention and I can control their behaviors. That's what I will do in my next lesson .
Transform
I need to learn more strategy about management like using songs or  rewards for children.

Math lesson

My event is (How can I be creative in  my work).

Describe

 I taught Kg2-4 Math lesson, and it was about add one more in the member.  When I introduced my lesson in the carpet area, I noticed that the children were feeling bored, and some of them started to talk with another child.

Analyze:
Children feel boring because I introduce my lesson by using a video and they started to talk because they did not interesting with the video. I didn't got some of the children's attention.


Appraise:
I want to be more creative when I'm introducing my lesson. I think if I introduce the lesson by using a game it will be more creative, and I can get children's attention because all of them will be involved in the game. That's what I will do in my next lesson because children learn more through using their body or when they move.

Transform
The opening should always prepare the children for their activities because they spend more time in the learning center. I will be more careful and creative in the future^^.

My event is (How to link the outcome with my opining).


Describe
 I want to be more careful when I introduce my lesson because last semester I didn't  link my opining with the outcome that I had chosen. It was about directions, and I show the children pictures of community helpers.  



Analyze:
I introduced my lesson by reading PowerPoint about community helper and my activities about directions. For the activities, I link it properly with the outcome. 



Appraise:
I want to be more careful when I'm  introducing my lesson. It should be related with the outcome that I will choose.  The opening should always prepare and practice the children for their activities.

Transform
The opening should always prepare the children for their activities because they spend more time in the learning center. I will be more careful in the future^^.

A Day in The Life of Child who has Exceed Cognitivel Level Expectations



I asked the mentor to tell me about the  good student  in class and she suggested Nouf.

Nouf  choose the story and she began to read  her story and she  explained her story.

She do that activity with all the attention and if she has question  she tell the teacher.

 she  interacts with her friends with the song and she do some movements into her hands to help her save the number.

 Teacher give students activity about math.
 He starts doing this activity but then he ask his friend to help him














































                                                                                       
Through my observation of Nouf, I found many advantages in this student such as she working hard in her class and she helps her friends. . Also, the parameter  encouraged  Nouf to submit the best when she had to do an activity. She was feel excited and she trying to finishing quickly. So I prefer this way because the students like when they are exposed to the praise and encouragement. In addition, I learned from my observation, the  students who they  good or the students weak. they are need indictment, encouragement and praise for their work to reach for success.
